trips, family, anchorage, and nickleback

hi bloggers;
You don’t relies how excited i am to write this blog. I have known about this for the longest time, but due to some facts that you will soon understand, i have not been able to write about it. However, i can now and it should be very exciting for not just me but you guys to.
Sabrina’s nephew felton, has had his 12th birthday today. We couldn’t figure out what we were going to get him for his birthday, and i was talking with my aunt and she said that she was going to the nickleback concert in august in washington. Neither Sabrina, nor my self, have been to a concert before, so we randomly in the next week, decided that we should go down to the concert. We talked about it, and sabrina said that she wasn’t sure what we were going to get felton for his birthday. I then randomly said, “we could take him to the concert”, not expecting anything of it, and well, low and behold, sabrina agreed with me and so felton is going to go to the concert with us.
Now, as a majority of my blog readers know, I will be flying to anchorage to get some independent living skill training on august 3rd, next monday, and will be there until august 14th. Well, the original plan was for me to fly directly back to coffman cove, well, threw ketchikan, then take a float plain to the island and get a ride back to coffman cove, anyways, we decided with this trip, we should just have me change my flight and fly to portland. So i will fly to portland, and go stay with my grate grandma in battle ground until the 18th.
Come the 17th, sabrina and felton will fly to portland, and come back to battle ground with me and my grandma for the night. We will then drive to Vancouver, less then 20 miles away from my grate grandma’s house, and get our rental car. We will then drive to salem oregon and visit friends there. My grate grandma however, will not be riding with us, so it’s me, sabrina, and felton.
We will stay the night in salem, and drive to Eugene the next day, and visit some of sabrina’s family there. We will then continue onto coos bay and stay 2 nights with sabrina’s grandma there, giving felton and sabrina a chance to see that part of the family.
After that, we will drive for 2 days up US 101 Hi-way to view all the lovely coast sites and attractions. This will then put us back on the other side of the oregon washing border from astoria, to stay 2 days with my grandma, jackie, and be able to visit with her. My grate grandma will also meat us there so she can spend some time there to. We will then make the 1.5 hour drive from there back to battle ground, and stay the night there.
The next day, august 28th will be the concert. What we will do until then i don’t know during that day, but it should be rather fun. We don’t know what, if anything we will do the 29th, but the 30th we will fly back to ketchikan in order to go to school on the 31st.
Sabrina, bought a gps unit online and had it sent to my grate grandma’s house. This should make our traveling a bit easier, and here’s to it helping us find our way with out getting lost to bad. I think it should go well for us, or at least i can hope eh?
We kept telling felton that he was just getting $2 for his birthday, so when he opened the card we put the $2 and a concert ticket in, he didn’t believe what it was, because he sat there, and kinda like, um? So we think it’s going to take a day or to for it to kick in, he’s going to nickleback with aunt sabrina… and soon to be uncle mike…

so as you can imagine, this should be relatively exciting. I get my iphone tuesday, august 4th, so i will have something else to screw around with on our trip.
anyways that’s about it for now, i’ll try to write more soon.

what's up with, #getmikes3gs ?

hi all;
I was asked what my Twitterstatus with the word: “getmikes3gs” in it mint. Well here’s the situation, and if your willing to donate, then feel free to do so. I am trying to get enough money for Apple’s ipod 3gsand don’t at this time have the funds. I was told that if i was about to buy the phone, then i would be reimbursed for the phone. I however, am required to pay a $700 deposit for att. Well, i thought of this idea, and thought hey, maybe people in the digital world would be willing to help. Here’s what I’m asking.
If you could donate $5 USD, that’s £3.02, then i feel at some point i would be able to get my iphone. I of course would be glad that if you were able to donate more, it’s just that’s what I’m asking for. I know that you don’t get anything out of this right away, but, if i get the iphone 3gs, then i will get a check for the reimbursement, and i will then go about sending you your money back.
Your thinking is this going to work? Well, yes, thanks to the first donator, Rick Harmon, on twitter Herei am 7.1% there. I hope to be able to do this and if your able to help, then please, use the below button to donate. I don’t normally do this, but i thought that i would give it a try and see if anything comes of it.
thanks a lot, and please, if you tweet about this, some how, fit “@creepyblindy” in it and or include the hash tag, “#getmikes3gs”.
thanks again

My review of Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) by Richelle Mead

Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) by Richelle Mead

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
In my opinion, i think this book is much better then the previous to. Yes, we did need the other to, but still, this i think is the best of the books. I will give away the last line of this book, so you must know that if you haven’t red it, it might be a spoiler, that’s why on good-reads, i checked the spoiler box.

Starting out the way it did, i didn’t expect anything that happened. From the first page, threw the last words, “And i started out, started out to kill the one i loved.” There was a lot of different things that just really made me stop and say, what?

The character development went a long way in this book. There are noticeable advances in character age, and you can surly tell that rose, the main character, is almost 18 years old. Her attitude changes, and some simply remarkable stuff happens in this book. It did take me a while to finish it, about half a month, but that’s because of normal life. I however, can’t wait to find out when the next book for the vampire academy comes out. Shadow Kissed, a book, dare i say it, better then twilight.

an accessible mac application, MailSteward 8.2.3

From the version tracker page:
Archive your e-mails in a database for later retrieval.
(File Size: 2.5M)

MailSteward 8.2.3
I have never used this application, and this is my First glance, this application looks like it might be accessible. The buttons aren’t labeled, however, if you do a vo+H you will know what the buttons do. From left to right the buttons are:
Preferences
Copy your email into a MailSteward database file
Search for email in the MailSteward database file
List all the email in the MailSteward database file
Then the next few things:
settings
archive
search
browse

were not buttons however, i think you can click them. ANyways after i clicked the “Copy your email into a MailSteward database file ” button, as this is what i think i want to do with this application, i got the following window:
Alert
This is the demo version of MailSteward. It has full functionality, but is limited to a capacity of 3,000 emails. To purchase a license for the full version of MailSteward, go to store.pubblog.com
OK button
I clicked “OK”.
Beginning & Ending Dates
Archive email beginning on this date:
then you have the headings, “month, day, year” in that order from left to right, and followed by them are drop down buttons. I set mine to all, and the next thing we have is “And/or ending on this date: “. Again, you have the Month, Day, Year headings from left to right with the same type of drop down buttons. I have mine set to all. Then we click the Archive button.
MailSteward alert image
Archive Email in Database
MailSteward will archive and index the text and attachments of all emails in the In boxes and Sent boxes of your selected email accounts, into the database file at /Users/Mike/Desktop/myemaildb.

Make sure you have all automatic virus-checking and encryption software turned off.
and i clicked the “OK” button.
You then see the prompt:
Processing attachment or HTML…
with a number to the right of it and that’s the amount of emails it’s archived into the database. My fan on my macbook spun up, and i let it work for a while. It took about 10 minutes to archive all 3000 emails, so i didn’t think that was to bad. I then saw a window that looked like this:
MailSteward alert image
Done Archiving Email
Parsed: 2208
Processed: 2208
Archived: 2208
Duplicates: 0

View Log File button
OK button
I clicked the OK Button and got this in the top left hand of the screen:
done storing email in /Users/Mike/Desktop/myemaildb
We then got 4 more buttons added to the list of buttons. These buttons were placed on the upper left hand side, before the Preferences button, and they are:
Format & print some or all of your email
Save the text of some or all of the email in this list, or the list itself, as a formatted text file or PDF file.
Delete some or all of the email in this list, from the list or from the database
Export the email in this list in one of several standard formats

So we know we can archive emails, why don’t you play around with this application and tell me what you were able to do in the comments field. And just, have fun.
And by the way, the file myemaildb turned out to be 420.8MB. So if your not going to use this application, don’t do it, unless you want to see what all can be done.
That’s all i’ll review about it for the time being, i might come back to it at a later date.
thanks
mike
